T 《Technology Review》譽(yù)為“世界上最火的計(jì)算機(jī)實(shí)驗(yàn)室”。 自1998年成立以來(lái)，啟
動(dòng)了面向亞太區(qū)高校博士生、碩士生和優(yōu)秀本科生的“明日之星”實(shí)習(xí)生項(xiàng)目。該項(xiàng)目由
微軟亞洲研究院和國(guó)內(nèi)外高校共同執(zhí)行，旨在培養(yǎng)高素質(zhì)的計(jì)算機(jī)基礎(chǔ)研究人才。實(shí)習(xí)生
進(jìn)入微軟亞洲研究院后深入到每個(gè)研究小組進(jìn)行為期三個(gè)月或更長(zhǎng)時(shí)間的實(shí)習(xí)。截止至20
11年9月，已有4000名來(lái)自亞太區(qū)高校的學(xué)生到微軟亞洲研究院實(shí)習(xí)，平均每年有400個(gè)實(shí)
習(xí)機(jī)會(huì)開(kāi)放給所有的學(xué)生。

Group: Software Analytics

Work Location: Beijing
Group Overview
Employing pattern recognition, machine learning, and information visualization
technologies, the Software Analytics Group at Microsoft Research Asia strives
to research and develop next generation data analysis and exploration tools i
n order to obtain insightful and actionable information for ultra-large data-d
riven software and services quality and development productivity improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
The interns will be working with the researchers in the Software Analytics gro
up for various research projects, with one of the three focuses below –
•Focus 1. Research on data mining/machine learning/mathematical modeling
algorithms
•Focus 2. Prototype development
•Focus 3. Interactive and graphical design
Required Qualifications:
•Common requirements
a. Good reading, written, and oral English;
b. Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.
c. Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your advisors approval.
•Requirements to the candidates on Focus 1 and 2 (3 interns needed)
a. BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or any related technical field and possess t
he following skills;
b. Background in machine learning (clustering, learning, classification)
c. Good programming skills or have related project experience;
d. Solid mathematics (linear algebra, optimization, statistics)
•Requirements to the candidates on Focus 3 (1 intern needed)
a. BS/MS in interactive design or any related field;
b. Strong in interactive or graphical design;
c. Be creative to come up with new designs.
