Software & IT Project Assistant (Intern)
Job Description:
The qualified candidate will join Intel IT Engineering Computing Department -
Global Strategic Program and Service Team, as a Software & IT Project Assista
nt. He/she will participate in various projects related to Software applicatio
n and IT tool/solution development, deployment and IT service enabling for Int
el business groups. His/her major responsibility is to assist program/project
managers by performing project coordination and basic level project management
tasks. High performance candidate may also get the opportunity to manage smal
l-scale and low-risk project independently after enough practices on project a
ssistant role.
Qualification:
The candidate must have software development and testing experience in the pas
t so that he/she will gain reasonable level of understanding on the technical
content of the project, which is critical for him/her to successfully perform
the project assistant role. Key skills and knowledge include but not limit to:
- Microsoft.Net* development including ASP.NET, C# and IIS with a solid unders
tanding of Visual Studio; MS SQL2005/2008, SQL (sql*, schema, stored procedur
es); AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery; Linux/Perl
- User experience with some of the popular software configuration management t
ools, such as GIT, Bugzilla, Perforce, ClearQuest, Contour, ProtexIP (IP Scan)
, Klocwork, QSlim (Project Estimation), KEPM, Rational Team Concert, TeamCente
r, Code Collaborator, etc. Note: Candidate who has no experience with these to
ols are also highly welcomed if he/she can quickly self-learn the basic knowle
dge about some of these tools and present the key learning during the intervie
w.
The candidate must have basic understanding on the software project management
methodology and common practices, which include but not limited to:
- General project requirement management, planning, monitoring & control, risk
management, change management, etc
- Software engineering methodology, software project life-cycle management pro
cess. Note: Candidate with knowledge or experience on Agile Development such a
s Scrum, Xtream programming, are highly welcomed.
The candidate must have excellent time and priority management skills, with th
e ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. The candida
te must have great passion on assigned job and task, and have good teamwork sp
irit.
The candidate must have good English and Mandarin communication skills, and st
rong interpersonal skills to be able to coordinate/interface with team members
, management as well as all project stakeholders.
The candidate must be a graduate student（研究生）, able to commit the interns
