Opportunity
Copal provides ample opportunity to display expertise in every field. Copal is currently offering Business Information Analyst position, based in Beijing. This position will provide a platform to learn rapidly market or industry-based subject matter. (Top performers will be considered for promotion to investment banking and/or private equity research and analytics track.) The candidate needs to have basic skill-set for financial research.
Activities
• Participate in research for leading investment banks, consulting companies, and private equity funds in Hong Kong, London and New York
• Projects include detailed information look up and data-mining for companies and sectors
• Requires the ability to extract and condense information from multiple data sources
• Translate research from Japanese to English and vice versa
• Manage workflow and interact directly with the client without supervision
• Requires the ability to work effectively in team with a mix of long and short term deadlines with flexible working hours
Required Background
• Strong academic record
• Bachelors or Masters in Japanese / Business / Commerce / Economics / Stats / Maths / Finance preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
• A self-starter, highly motivated, ambitious, and willingness to work hard
• Knowledge of data sources like Thomson SDC, Factiva, Bloomberg, Thomson Research, CapIQ, Wind, and other alternative sources in Chinese preferred
