There is enough plot tension and character depth to please the adults, along with some fun special effects, comedic relief, and broomstick action to please the children.
Solid performances are given by the trio Daniel Radcliff (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint. The former child stars have blossomed into respectable thespians well honed in their craft. They are able to carry off the emotional scenes without being melodramatic.
With well-paced editing and a phenomenal cast, this movie does the books justice and leaves the audience hungry for a second helping.
