英國《泰晤士報高等教育副刊》10日發(fā)布2011年世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)聲譽(yù)排行榜，美國哈佛大學(xué)位列榜首，中國清華大學(xué)和北京大學(xué)躋身百強(qiáng)，分列第三十五和第四十三位。
美國大學(xué)在排行榜上獨(dú)占鰲頭，奪得前10名中的7席，并有45所大學(xué)進(jìn)入百強(qiáng)。英國是第二大贏家，劍橋大學(xué)和牛津大學(xué)名列十強(qiáng)，總共12所英國大學(xué)進(jìn)入百強(qiáng)。日本大學(xué)的表現(xiàn)也很搶眼，5所大學(xué)躋身百強(qiáng)，其中東京大學(xué)名列第八。
首次發(fā)布的世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)聲譽(yù)排行榜是《泰晤士報高等教育副刊》世界大學(xué)排行榜的“子榜”，是根據(jù)各大學(xué)在教學(xué)和科研領(lǐng)域的表現(xiàn)確定的。而一年一度的《泰晤士報高等教育副刊》世界大學(xué)排行榜的評定指標(biāo)多達(dá)13個，除教學(xué)和科研之外，還包括論文引用情況、科研成果轉(zhuǎn)化收入以及國際化程度等。
《泰晤士報高等教育副刊》主編菲爾·巴蒂說，世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)聲譽(yù)排行榜是在對大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)進(jìn)行了迄今為止面的全球性調(diào)查之后排定的。他指出，在國際人才市場對學(xué)生、學(xué)者和學(xué)校管理人員的爭奪更為激烈的今天，大學(xué)享有良好的學(xué)術(shù)聲譽(yù)至關(guān)重要。

agreed to rank only the top 50 because the differentials between institutions after the top 50 become very
narrow. The second group of 50 institutions are listed in groups of 10, in alphabetical order.
Scores are given to one decimal place, but were calculated at a higher precision.
The universities of Florida, Texas at Austin, Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and the Indian Institute of Science were
not included in the 2010-11 World University Rankings (WUR) exercise because they did not supply
institutional data.
The University of California, San Francisco and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine were
excluded from the WUR because they have no undergraduate provision.
Other institutions where no WUR rank is included did not make the WUR top 200.
