    1. call in sick
Ben called in sick and told his boss he would miss the meeting.
I need a sick leave for two days.
    2. drag one's ass
這個片語也寫作drag ass / drag it / drag tail,意思是“l(fā)eave, depart 離開”,比如:I'm dragging my ass out of this place. 我們以前曾經講過,通常要別人挪動一下,比較口語、俚語的說法常常都帶個ass, butt之類的,比如 move your butt (別擋路),get your ass up (站起來)。
    3. hit
The raiders hit at dawn.
    4. fire chief
    5. city bus
    6. take the wheel
    7. You gotta stay above 50 whatever it takes
Whatever it takes I'm gonna try this.
    8. We have a slight situation on the bus here.
    9. You're scaring the shit out of these people.
Scare the shit out of someone Don't shout at me! You're scaring the shit out of me!
    10. sit tight

L.A.P.D —— The Los Angeles Police Department
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is the police department of the City of Los Angeles, California. With over 9,500 officers and 3,000 civilian staff, covering an area of 473 square miles with a population of more than 3.5 million people, it is the fifth largest law enforcement agency in the United States (trailing behind the NYPD, Chicago Police Department, California Department of Corrections, and FBI). The department has been heavily fictionalized in numerous movies and television shows. It has also been involved in a number of controversies, perhaps most notably the infamous Rodney King incident and the subsequent 1992 Los Angeles riots.
The 1991 beating of Rodney G. King by Los Angeles, California, police led to state and federal criminal prosecution of the law enforcement officers involved in the assault, a civil jury award of $3.8 million to King for his injuries, and major reforms in the Los Angeles police department. In addition, the April 1992 acquittal of the white police officers for the beating of King, an African American, touched off riots in Los Angeles that rank as the worst in U.S. history. The controversy surrounding each of these actions raised the issues of race, racism, and police brutality in communities throughout the United States.
