Two Bombs Go Off Inside Grand Mosque in New Delhi
Two bomb blasts inside India's largest mosque (the Jama Masjid) in New Delhi have wounded at least 10 people. Initial reports from the Indian capital say the explosions were just minutes apart at the 17th-century complex. There has been no claim of responsibility.
Initially the mosque was evacuated and barricaded as police specialists searched for more bombs. But less than two hours later, police allowed the Muslim crowd to go in and hold their Friday prayers.
Soon after the blasts, Local TV channels showed angry devotees raising slogans against the local government for alleged lapses in security.
