Bombs Kill at Least Four Iraqis Near Mosques in Baquba
Iraqi police say at least four people were killed in roadside bombings near two Sunni mosques in the city of Baquba, north of Baghdad. At least five other people were wounded in the blasts, which went off after Friday prayers. Separately, at least seven policemen were wounded in a suicide car bomb blast near a police station in the northern city of Mosul.
In other news, police say insurgents ambushed a police convoy near Baghdad late Thursday, killing at least six policemen and wounding 10 others. The policemen were from the southern Shi'ite city of Najaf. A senior police official in Najaf said several of his men were missing.
