three men were picked．it would be their task to go to the top of a five-hundred-foot tower． up there in a little room was the atom for bomb． the men rode in cars to the tower．then they got ready for the five-hundred-foot climb．they must go by ladder all the way．each man carried a box of tools on his back．when they reached the top， they would be as high up as a forty-storey building．
as the men started the climb，they sawa rabbit hopping about．
“there is a lucky rabbit，if we make it，”said one of the men．
up and up they climbed．two hundred feet， three hundred feet，four hundred feet．only one hundred feet left to go．how small the cars below looked—just like little toys！
at the top，the men stood at the door of the little room in which the bomb lay．with much care，the first man opened the door and went in． everything looked all right；so the other two followed．
carefully the men worked on the bomb．now there was just one more step to go．they must pull the wires from the bomb．with a strong，even pull their work was finished．
