獨立結(jié)構(gòu)通常由名詞（或代詞）+分詞，名詞（或代詞）+形容詞，名詞（或代詞）+不定式，名詞（或代詞）+介詞短語以及名詞（或代詞）+副詞構(gòu)成。獨立結(jié)構(gòu)主要用在書面語中，在日?？谡Z中較為少見。
The girl ran quickly， her friend following. （名詞+現(xiàn)在分詞） 女孩跑得很快，她的朋友緊隨其后。
She lay on her back， her hands crossed under her head. （名詞+過去分詞） 她面朝天枕著雙手躺在那里。
