一、基本用法
We hear that he went abroad recently. 我們聽說他最近出國了。
He was abroad from 1970 to 1996. 他從1970年至1996年住在國外。
His dream of going abroad for further education became a reality. 他出國深造的夢想已成為現(xiàn)實(shí)。
We can’t go abroad this year, so we’ll have to content ourselves with a holiday in London. 我們今年不能出國，所以只好在倫敦度假了。
二、一點(diǎn)注意
是副詞，不是名詞，因此不能與 in, to, at 等介詞連用；其前也不用冠詞：
正：He went abroad last year. 他去年出國了。
誤：He went to abroad last year.
誤：He went to the abroad last year.
abroad 之前雖不能用 in, to 之類的介詞，但可用介詞 from：He just came back from abroad. 他剛從國外回來。
三、注意搭配
at home and abroad 國內(nèi)外 / be all abroad 感到莫明其妙
