(二)核心短語講解
(1) excuse me對不起,打攪了。
當(dāng)要打攪某人或進(jìn)行詢問之前使用該短語,相當(dāng)于漢語中的“不好意思;打攪了,請原諒”。如:
Excuse me,Can you tell me how I can go to the nearest station?
對不起,你能告訴我去最近的車站怎么走嗎?
(2) switch on 打開(電器)。
其相對的動詞短語是switch off,即“關(guān)上(電器)”。表示這一組意思的還有turn on 和turn off。
(3).have got to 不得不,必須。
have got to 相當(dāng)于have to。如:It's so late.I am afraid I've got to leave. 天已經(jīng)很晚了,我恐怕必須得離開。
(4) I wonder...我想知道;我很好奇;我對......很驚訝。
用于詢問或表示感嘆。如:Iam wondering if I am finish it by myself.我想知道自己是否能獨自完成。
(5) get on with one's work繼續(xù)某人的工作。get on with還表示“與某人相處得如何”。get on well with/get along well with 表示“與某人相處得很好”。如:Do you get on well with your boss?你同老板相處得好嗎?
(6) so-called 所說的,無謂的。如:He is the so-called artist.他就是所謂的藝術(shù)家。
(7) make some mistakes犯錯誤。注意:mistake一詞為可數(shù)名詞,與之意思想近的還有fault,error。如:
He has made a serious mistake. 他犯了一個嚴(yán)重的錯誤。
(8) make sure 確定,搞清楚。如:I think I locked the door,but I'll just go back and make sure of it.我想我是鎖了門,但我是 回去查看一下吧。
(9) keep in touch保持接觸,保持聯(lián)系。如:I tried to keep in touch with my high schol friends.我盡是與高中時代的朋友保 持聯(lián)絡(luò)。
(10) on the other hand另一方面
