我們總是有很多雜事要辦，比如寄個(gè)信啦，買個(gè)東西啦，取款、領(lǐng)錢等等。這個(gè)“辦點(diǎn)雜事”可以用 run errands 來(lái)表示。
Errands 指的是短的行程，像寄信這些小事都走不了多遠(yuǎn)，所以run some errands 或是 do some errands 就可以表示“辦點(diǎn)雜事”，比如：
She came late because she had to run a lot of errands before she came.
她來(lái)晚了，因?yàn)閬?lái)以前她必須做許多雜事。
I want to run some errands.
我要去辦點(diǎn)雜事。
有一個(gè)詞跟 run some errands 很像，就是 chore，指的就是“家務(wù)，雜務(wù)”。例如：After I finished chores, I sat down and had a cup of coffee.
