大概都知道，英文里有許多單詞可以有好幾種解釋，有時(shí)使得學(xué)英語(yǔ)的人感到很糊涂，到底這個(gè)詞是什么意思。就拿 odd 這個(gè)詞來(lái)說(shuō)吧，僅僅只有三個(gè)字母，可是卻有好幾個(gè)意思。它可以形容某個(gè)很奇怪的人或者行為，也可以指一、三、五這樣的單數(shù)，它還可以解釋為“多一點(diǎn)”，如： fifty-odd men，意思是“五十幾個(gè)人”。Odd 這個(gè)詞還可以和別的詞合在一起用，當(dāng)然和不同的詞合在一起它的意思也就不同。例如：Oddball。要是你說(shuō)某人是個(gè) oddball，那就是說(shuō)這個(gè)人表現(xiàn)的很奇怪，和一般人不一樣。我們來(lái)舉個(gè)例子吧：
