在Gossip Girl第二季第四集里，我會繼續(xù)介紹一些日常生活中實(shí)用的東西。因?yàn)閷Υ蟛糠秩藖碚f，學(xué)習(xí)太多的習(xí)語和俚語并沒有太大好處。這些最基本的知識可能才是最需要的。
1. So let’s keep this between us.
我就和你一個人說/你不要去告訴別人。
這個意思還可以用keep this between ourselves 表示。
另外，大人叫小孩別亂動的時候會說keep your hands to yourself。

有消息我會聯(lián)系你的。
通常面試官是用這句話來告訴你面試結(jié)束了，而且他再也不會給你電話。
這句話出自Queen B。
很多時候，你要學(xué)會體會言外之意（read between the lines）。
3. Amanda. I just transferred in.
Amanda，我剛轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)過來的。
Transfer還可以用來表示公司部門間和不同子公司間的“調(diào)動”，還有運(yùn)動員在不同俱樂部間的轉(zhuǎn)會。例如：I want to be transferred to the head office. Neither player wants a transfer.
這句話是Dan不小心撞翻了Amanda的書的時候說的。令我奇怪的是，這看起來是認(rèn)識女生最簡潔有效的方式。
Dan的回答很冷：I’m Dan. I… I just assaulted you. 我叫Dan。我……我剛撞了你……
4. Break-ups are easy. It’s having to see them date someone else that’s hard. Why do you think I rub it in Chuck’s face every chance I get.
分手倒不讓人難過。最痛苦的是看到他們又在和其他人約會。你說為什么我老要在Chuck面前提這事??？
Rub someone’s nose in it/ in the dirt是什么意思呢？在口語中，其表示：1）由于對某人心懷怨恨，而不停地在某人面前提其過錯或者揭某人傷疤，或者2）幸災(zāi)樂禍地不斷提醒對方正處于不利境地的事實(shí)。這里Blair說成了rub it in Chuck’s face，并不影響理解。聽說這個表達(dá)方式源自于通過不停地摩擦狗鼻子以示懲罰的行為。
例句：
So I made a mistake! I wish you’d stop rubbing my nose in it.
Rubbing my nose in it is not going to correct the mistake.
