1.a chip off the old block
    某人在性格上是父母的翻版。
    eg. My mother and I are very alike, I am a chip off the old block.
    我和媽媽非常相像，我完全是她的翻版。
    2.a close one
    與"a close call"相似，意思是很懸，遷千鈞一發(fā)，很緊急的情況。差點(diǎn)遇到危險(xiǎn)，但好在逃過了這一難。
    eg.I had a close call on my way to work, A car hit my bike but I didn’t fall.
    我今天上班路上的情況挺驚險(xiǎn)，一輛車撞了我的自行車，不過我沒有摔倒。
    I passed my exam by one point. It was a close one.
    我僅以一分之差勉強(qiáng)考試及格，真是夠懸的。
    3.a dime a dozen
    十分常見，不太值錢。
    eg. Watermelons in Beijing in the summer are a dime a dozen.
    北京的夏天，西瓜多得根本不值錢了。
    Bad managers are a dime a dozen but a good one is difficult to find.
    壞的老板簡(jiǎn)直是多如牛毛，碰見一個(gè)好的真難。
    4.a piece of cake
    小意思，易如反掌。
    eg. Our homework last night was a piece of cake.
    我們昨天晚上的家庭作業(yè)很容易。
    Using a digital camera is a piece of cake.
    用數(shù)碼相機(jī)是很容易的事。
    5.a way out of this mess
    一個(gè)可以擺脫混亂局面的辦法。
    eg. The traffic is terrible today！We need to find a way out of this mess！
    今天的交通一塌糊涂，我們需要想想辦法擺脫這個(gè)局面。
    I have 3 exams and an interview tomorow.I really need a way out of this mess！
    我明天有三個(gè)考試，一個(gè)面試。我必須想個(gè)解決辦法。
