我教授跟我們說，他以前在美國教書，有一些球隊(duì)學(xué)生從沒念過書，但是大學(xué)也是要畢業(yè)，之後就可以進(jìn)入職籃打NBA，退休後常常就回到母校當(dāng)球隊(duì)教練。

於是就請他的教練，也是學(xué)校球隊(duì)的教練來幫忙求情。
第「3」串：to beg for leniency 求情
It is no use begging for leniency here, and the only think you can do now is to get ready for the make-up exam.
教練∶“教授，請你一定要讓喬丹過啊NBA渴望他很久了！”
教授∶“好吧！既然教練都來幫忙求情了，就給你最後一次機(jī)會”
第「4」串：to long for 渴望
We are longing for the final result of the test.
“一加一等於多少？”
喬丹馬上不思考地回答∶“二”
教練∶“教授，請?jiān)俳o他一次機(jī)會吧！”
第「5」串：to give another shot 再試一次
You\'d better give it another shot. I am sure you can make it.
Are you playing hide-and-seek with me? I have no interest.
因?yàn)槟愕某閷锨暗哪且粔K板子已經(jīng)不見了?！爱?dāng)時全班哄堂大笑。
第「5」串：burst into laughter 哄堂大笑
On hearing his excuse, the whole class burst into laughter
