關(guān)于人名和地名
雅思考試中人名的拼寫與地名的拼寫是經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)的考點(diǎn)。其中的人名和地名一般都是逐個字母拼讀出來，考生應(yīng)一字不差將其聽寫出來，這也是surviving skills 中的一種。拼寫的任何一個錯誤，哪怕是極小的錯誤，都會導(dǎo)致該題目不得分。這就要求考生基本功扎實(shí)，而格外仔細(xì)。
例如Vancouver 的讀音"V-A-N-C-O-U-V-E-R"，考生必須寫成"Vancouver"一字不差。這類題目只要多做練習(xí)，加快聽抄速度,就可解決（注意首字母大寫）。但要注意英文中"大寫"的說法，"capital"。如 McLean 的讀法是"capital M-small-C-capital-L-E-A-N" 同時還需要注意Sam’s 的拼讀為 "S-A-M apostrophe S".
