一、in all的用法
    (1) 表示：總之；簡言之。如：
    In all, the book is very interesting. 總之，這本書很有趣。
    In all you did very well. 總之你做得很出色。
    (2) 表示：總共。如：
    There were 100 people in all. 總共100人。
    There I saw ten children in all. 在那兒我見到10個小孩。
    二、all in all的用法
    (1) 表示：總的說來。如：
    All in all we had a good time. 總的說來，我們玩得很痛快。
    All in all, the party was pleasant. 總體說來，晚會令人愉快。
    (2) 表示：總共。如：
    All in all, there were 20 people present. 總共有20人到場。
    How many are there in all? 一共有多少?
    (3) 有時用作表語，表示：最最重要的(東西)。如：
    Music is his all in all. 音樂是他最最重要的東西。
    She is all in all to me. 他對我至關(guān)重要。
