字號(hào):

I want to see the credits.
    對(duì)話
    Vivienne: Come on, let's go, the movie's over.
    Zelda: No, wait, I want to see the credits right through to the end.
    Vivienne: Why, they list everybody including the studio cleaner.It'll take forever.
    Zelda: My sister's in the movie business and she worked on this movie.
    Vivienne: Really, what does she do?
    Zelda: She's a make-up artist. Look, there she is, that's her name just coming up now. My mother will be so pleased when I tell her.
It'll take forever. It will take forever to read such a tome as War and Peace
    有時(shí),為了加強(qiáng)語氣,你還可以說forever and a day,即永恒之外還加上一天,例如:(1)I'll love you forever and a day(我愛你一生一世), (2)He took forever and a day to make the decision(他很久很久才下決定)。
We should give him credit for his hard work(他努力工作,我們應(yīng)予表揚(yáng))。 Tom was piqued to find that he did not get a mention in the credits(湯姆見工作人員名單提都沒有提到他,很不高興)Pique是‘使生氣’,多是指自尊心受損而生氣。
On the first page are the credits for all those who helped in the production of this dictionary(第一頁列出了所有協(xié)助出版這本字典的工作人員的名字)。
