The extraneous insect called yexinyejia was brought from southeast asia . Its length is 1.5 cm , it can enter the inside of coconuts and eat it left only shells . So terrible ! This kind of insect has no natural enemy in hainan , so it will breed unscrupulous if mankinds don’t take any action in time , it is spread by the wind and some other plants , and more rapidy when there is typhoon . Experts said that the coconut trees in hainan will all die in several years at this rate .
Yexinyejia has been first found in June , 2002 , it’s already four years till now , it will spread faster and faster in the future . I think human beings should pay the top attention on this problem which is caused by our own actions . The coconut is the symbol of hainan and it’s the primary support of the economy of hainan . The tour industry and agriculture are all depend on the sale of coconuts , hainan’s economy will be serious destoried if coconut’s yield come down . So it’s already on the nick of time for the further development of hainan’s economy . Till now the government has already bring in a new insect-the natural enemy of yexinyejia , but I think it’s not enough , the problem is also exist , when yexinyejia disapeared , how can we keep away from the breed of the new insect .
