*戎夷離開(kāi)齊國(guó)到魯國(guó)去。碰上天氣酷寒，在魯國(guó)城門(mén)關(guān)閉后才趕到城邊，只好跟他的一個(gè)門(mén)徒在城外露天過(guò)夜。夜晚，天氣越來(lái)越冷。戎夷便對(duì)那個(gè)門(mén)徒說(shuō)：“您把衣給我穿，我就會(huì)活下來(lái)，我把衣給您穿，您就會(huì)活下來(lái)。我是治理國(guó)家的杰出人才，為了普天下的利益而愛(ài)惜自己的生命；您，是一個(gè)普通人，不必吝惜自己的生命，您把您的衣給我吧?！遍T(mén)徒說(shuō)：“我這平庸的人，又怎能慷慨地把衣給您這個(gè)杰出的人穿呢？” 戎夷聽(tīng)了，嘆息說(shuō)：“唉，我的主張看來(lái)不能實(shí)現(xiàn)了！”說(shuō)完，便把身上的衣脫下來(lái)給門(mén)徒穿。到了半夜，自己凍死了，卻救活了這個(gè)門(mén)徒。說(shuō)戎夷能夠把一個(gè)時(shí)代治理好，那還沒(méi)有證明；但是，他那想有利于人類(lèi)的思想，算是達(dá)到不能再高的程度了！
