again的用法小結
1. 不與那些已含有 again 意義的動詞 (如：renew 續(xù)借；repeat重說；rewrite 重寫，等)連用：
請再說一遍。
正：Please repeat it. / Please say it again.
誤：Please repeat it again.
但若要強調，again 本身卻可以疊用：I have told you againand again not to play there. 我已再三叫你們不要在那兒玩。
有時也可見 again 與 repeat 之類的詞連用，那表示的是第三次而不是第二次：Repeat it again, please. 請把它再重復一遍 (即連原來的第一遍和第二遍共計三遍)。
2. again 雖然可以表示“再”、“又”，但并不是漢語中所有的“再”、“又”都能用 again 來翻譯的：
我們班又有兩個學生入了團。
正：Two more students in our class joined the League.
正：Another two students in our class joined the League.
誤：Two students in our class joined the League again. (此誤句若視為正句，則表示：我們班有兩位同學又入了一次 團----即第二次入團)
