Of honor and hate, which one do you prefer? The former, or the latter? When asked this question,, most people choose the former, honor. But honor is very much like drawing the lottery. Those who are aiming at the prize will usually draw blank, and the biggest prize is usually going to those who doesn’t take it so seriously. Indeed, although most people choose the honor, few get it. In fact they get nothing but jealousy. And those who aim at neither honor nor hate get them both. This is thought provoking, isn’t it?
Intelligent people know that after night comes day, and after bad time comes good. They also know that after drought comes rain and that after dark clouds, clear weather. They never aim at something that seems to be too glamorous for them. They are afraid of honor and a high status. They are aware of the fact that the higher one climbs, the deeper he will fall. These people are practical. They bone up on their work. They do what they can. They treasure what they get. They never dream of the impossible, nor do they have wishful thinking. And once honor and status come to them, they keep a clear head and they will watch for the opposite, for they know that after fling, comes the sting.
