infeste the opera也是一個非常有意思的說法，infest有兩個含義，第一是：to spread or swarm in or over in a troublesomemanner 比如 a slum infested with crime就是說一個犯罪成災的貧民窟，再比如 shark-infested waters說這片水域里面鯊魚非常多。
第二個是 to live in or on as a parasite 像寄生在……上面似的。如果說某人對……非常上癮，就可以說infest。
