Nokia China Research Center seeks candidates for Research Staff and Leader positions
Nokia China Investment Co., Ltd. invites applications for Nokia Research Center Staff and Team Leader positions located in Beijing to strengthen our research on Rick context Modeling.
NRC Beijing focuses on the areas of rich context modeling and new user interface. Rich context is characterized by the use of a wide range of sensor information to aggregate data into a coherent context model. This data and its analysis form the backbone for a new class of services in areas like weather, traffic, wellness, or entertainment. Future user interfaces will need to integrate the personalization and adaptive aspects of the device side with data-sharing enabled by the back-end infrastructure.
Member of Research Staff is a respected member of global research community of the corresponding area.
Qualified candidates are expected to have Ph. D. in electronics engineering, computer science, or related fields; strong capability of scientific writing with strong publication record; excellent programming skills in C/C++ and JAVA; ability to work independently with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills in English and rich Symbian and Maemo programming experience as a plus.
Team leaders are also expected to be hands-on with demonstrated research team leadership experience in academic or industrial research institutions.
