peaceful，peaceable
這兩個(gè)詞都是peace的派生形容詞，它們又都（表示）“和平的”、“安靜的”（涵義），但涵義和使用場(chǎng)合有所不同。
Peaceful是專指環(huán)境和狀態(tài)而言，其涵義為“平安的”、“和平的”、“寧靜的”、“平靜的”。例：
We earnestly hope that all countries will adhere to the principles of peaceful coexistence．

In breaking up strikes，we prefer peaceful measure to coercion.
