1. 8501:The holder must maintain adequate arrangements for health insurance while the holder is in Australia. 簽證持有人必須持有醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn) 2. 8558(新增):The holder must not stay in Australia for more than 12 months in any period of 18 months. 1. 8501:The holder must maintain adequate arrangements for health insurance while the holder is in Australia. If 8501 will be imposed on a Tourist visa, the delegate must ensure that the applicant holds adequate health insurance for the first 12 month period of stay. It is not necessary for the applicant to hold cover for the visa period – as the applicant is likely to be able to obtain health insurance cover only for at most, 12 months (at a time)。 For the grant of the visa, the applicant should demonstrate the first 12 months and thereafter they will need to be adequately covered on each subsequent entry. Decision makers are not expected to ensure that they are covered for any subsequent entries, this is the responsibility of the visa holder and their visa may be liable for cancellation if they do not maintain adequate arrangements for health insurance for any period they are in Australia. It is preferable that health insurance is held with an Australian insurer. However, this is not a requirement. Cover can also be made through a reputable local insurer that provides the same level of cover.Applicants should provide evidence of their cover from their insurer which shows the level of health care provided by the insurance policy. For subsequent applications, previous evidence of compliance with this condition and evidence that on-going cover has been arranged should be considered adequate to satisfy the decision maker that the applicant intends to comply with condition 8501. 47.2 Special arrangements for applicants in the parent migration queue In this context, when deciding a visitor visa application lodged by someone with a queued parent migration application, under policy, the existence of a permanent migration application and an obvious intention to eventually reside permanently in Australia is not, in itself, grounds to find that the applicant does not meet the “genuine visit” criterion (see section 8 The genuine visitor requirement)。 Instead, officers should regard this as a longer term intention and focus on the applicant’s short term intentions when assessing the “genuineness” criterion in assessing visitor visa applications from parents. Officers are encouraged to consider granting offshore applicants who are in the parent queue five year validity, 12 month stay, multiple entry visas so they can come and visit their family for longer periods on regular occasions. However, these applicants should be counselled that conditions 8558, 8503 and 8501 will be applied to their visa: condition 8558 will prevent them from spending more than 12 months in Australia in any 18 month period if they breach condition 8558 they may encounter difficulties at the border and be liable to have their visa cancelled and may have difficulty being granted another visa in future. See section 81 Condition 8558 and 8501 – Not resident and maintain health insurance for further information. See also section 85 Stay periods. If imposition of a “no further stay” condition (8503) is discretionary, before imposing that condition, decision makers should consider: whether despite offshore parent migration application being lodged, there is a residual concern regarding the likelihood of a permanent migration application being lodged onshore, given parent migration waiting periods and previous travel history of the applicant the length of stay requested (that is, condition 8503 may be more appropriate where 12 month stay has been requested) the age of the applicant (that is, condition 8503 may be more appropriate where applicant over 70) whether the applicant only has a limited health clearance, in which case condition 8503 should be imposed. 2. 8558(新增):The holder must not stay in Australia for more than 12 months in any period of 18 months. 3.8503:No further stay
