成語解釋是將漢語中的一些成語用英語解釋出來。寫作時(shí)要注意準(zhǔn)確，句子要盡量流暢。首先要把成語的含義吃透。然后再把成語故事的大意進(jìn)行義譯。不要按照漢語的意思進(jìn)行對(duì)號(hào)入座的直譯。要按英語的表達(dá)方式表達(dá)句義。注意同義表達(dá)，使用最有把握的句子。

He made a mark on the side of the boat where he dropped the sword, hoping to find it again later on. When the boat reached the other side of the river, he got off and went into the water from where he made the mark, in search of the sword. Naturally he couldn\'t find it in the end.
