上一期舉了20個(gè)由“get”引導(dǎo)的片語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞。這期要舉些由“take”開(kāi)頭的實(shí)用詞,數(shù)目較少,但也足夠大家采用。一般上,以“take”引導(dǎo)的片語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞多數(shù)是多義的。比如“take in”一詞,就有四個(gè)意思如下:
① 理解:“For a reader with only a basic knowledge of English, he will find the book Good English Made Simple difficult to take in.”
② 縮?。骸癕y dress is a bit loose. Could you take it in a bit for me?”
③ 包括:“The total cost of the trip is $300,taking everthing in.”
④ 被騙(常以被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)出現(xiàn)):“As that salesman looked respectable, Susan was completely taken in.”
