說人笨，那個人肯定會不高興，就好像英語中直接說別人 dumb，stupid，那肯定要惹來一頓麻煩了。今天我們來學(xué)一個委婉的“笨”。
“Not the brightest bulb”按字面直譯是“并非最亮的燈泡 ”，但它實際的意思可能很少有人猜到——就是“笨”。但它可不是“stupid”“dumb”之類的“笨”，而是相對比較委婉的說法，像中文里有時用的“他/她可算不上最聰明的”。
