這個(gè)慣用語(yǔ)非常類似于漢語(yǔ)中的“半斤八兩”，不過(guò)我們論重量，他們論數(shù)量罷了。不過(guò)在意義上還是稍微有些不同的，six of one and half a dozen of the other可以用在兩個(gè)方面。一是和“半斤八兩”近意，表示兩件事情實(shí)際上一樣，e.g. I say she's a stewardess. She says she's a flight attendant. It's six of one and a half dozen of the other.
