英國布里斯托爾大學(xué)地球科學(xué)系招聘博士后
The Department of Earth Sciences invites applications for a Research Associate (PDRA) position as part of the NERC-funded research project ‘Magma Dynamics at Persistently Degassing Basaltic Volcanoes’. This project will investigate the fundamental controls on magma degassing through a combination of laboratory analogue experiments, numerical models, petrological experiments and field monitoring.
You should have a PhD in experimental petrology, ideally with experience of internally-heated gas apparatus, and an interest in sub-volcanic processes.
This post is for 12 months from 1st April 2009. If successful, you may be appointed either on a fixed term or a permanent contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant research experience. Further information can be found at http://www.bristol.ac.uk/personnel/ftc/
Interviews will be held late July 2008.
