新加坡醫(yī)學(xué)生物學(xué)研究所招聘博士后
Institute of Medical Biology
The Institute of Medical Biology (IMB) is the newest research institute of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (ASTAR). Its mission is to understand the mechanisms of human disease to find new and effective therapeutic strategies for improved quality of life. IMB is developing internationally excellent research programmes to work with clinical collaborators at the challenging interface between basic science and medicine. We are located at Biopolis, the international biomedical hub where ASTAR research institutes live alongside biotech companies in a cluster of futuristic laboratory buildings that share excellent scientific core facilities.
Prabha Sampath, an eminent scientist in the field of Translational Control and Embryonic Stem Cells has joined IMB and is seeking:
POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWS
(1) From early embryonic development to cell differentiation, translational control is used to fine-tune protein levels. Stem cell differentiation involves changes in transcription, but little is known about translational control during differentiation. The project will involve identification of translationally regulated genes during human embryonic stem cell differentiation using directed differentiation strategies and translation state array analysis (TSAA).
(2) Project also involves identification of microRNAs involved in the translational regulation of genes during embryonic stem cell differentiation. The project centers on modulation of translationally regulated genes using a wide range of molecular and cellular experimental approaches. Experience in human ES cells is desirable.
IMB provides a competitive remuneration package commensurate with specific qualifications and experience.
We welcome interested applicants to e-mail a full CV plus names/ contact details of three referees, stating preferred area of interest, to Ms Cheryl Lee (cheryl_lee@a-star.edu.sg).
