    Subject The PPP Fax Transceiver
    The final design for the PPP fax transceiver, which can send or receive various drawn, photographed, typed or written documents over public and private telephone lines, has been submitted by our research section. Attached is our final report on this subject, and here are the conclusions we reached and the objectives we propose for our company.
    The conclusions:
    1. Although a large market can be developed for the PPP after 2007, the present market in Asia is essentially limited to 3,000 major potential customers. We would therefore recommend that the quantities proposed to produce in 2006should be revised.
    2. As demand for this type of equipment is developed over the coming years, our production capacity will have to be correspondingly increased to meet customers' requirements.
    3. In the competition with similar products brought out by Korea, our product will win an acceptable share of the market.
    The short–term objectives and strategy for achieving them:
    we should set to secure 25% of the existing market by the end of2006. This would provide a firm basis for further expansion from 2007 onwards. Long–term objectives are discussed in detail in our report.
    We should offer customers leasing facilities instead of outright purchase. A draft leasing agreement is being drawn up by our legal department and will be available in the next week.

    結(jié)論如下:
    1.盡管2007年后PPP的市場廣大,但目前亞洲盡限于三千用戶。因此我們建議2006年產(chǎn)量重新定位。
    2.今后幾年此機(jī)的需求擴(kuò)大,我方的生產(chǎn)力也需相應(yīng)提高。
    3.在與韓國推出的類似產(chǎn)品的競爭中,我們當(dāng)可獲得部分市場份額。
    近期目標(biāo)與策略:
    2006年底占領(lǐng)25%市場。這將為2007年后的競爭打下堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)。長期目標(biāo)在報告中有所論述。
    為達(dá)此目標(biāo),僅建議為客戶提供租賃設(shè)備,而非全部購買。租賃草案正在草擬,下周可完成。
    建議盡快召開委員會,詳細(xì)討論報告書,并制定銷售計(jì)劃。
