The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine has an opportunity available for a Research Associate within the Department of Neurology. The main goal of our laboratory is to study pathological and neuroprotective mechanisms of cerebral ischemia. The Research Associate will mainly work with in vivo models. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and/or performing survival and non-survival surgeries, including intra-vascular experiments using small catheters, and post operative care. This person will be responsible for keeping surgery records and other data collected during and after surgery. He/she will also be responsible for performing histology on brains following surgery.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum qualifications include a Bachelors Degree plus two to five years of relevant work related experience. An appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
