6月6日晚7點多乘新空調(diào)特快，7日早7點多到北京站，乘地鐵到國貿(mào)橋，B出口，步行至光華路(可見嘉里)，沿光華路東行至針織路，路口北100米就是“好運(yùn)旅社”了。沒有單人間，于是要了一個110元/晚的雙人間，無一次性洗漱用品，其它電話、彩電、空調(diào)、衛(wèi)生間都有。
8號早先退了房，6:55從旅館出發(fā)，7點10左右到了嘉里，在大廳等到7:25左右。上21樓，排隊、安檢、交材料和手續(xù)費，打印顯示是9:02。果然9點多一點時，男翻譯T聲音：QXG，9號。
打開9號門，進(jìn)去，傻眼，一個人都沒有，放下包，坐下，等一分鐘，男翻譯進(jìn)來。
Me: 早上好。
T: 嗯。等一會兒簽證官。
等了又至少一分鐘，稍微有點發(fā)福的白玫瑰進(jìn)來，坐下。
Me: Good morning, ……(沒說完)
V: Chinese or English
T: 中文？英文？
Me: English, plz
V: English, good! （除了96年時的大學(xué)英語四六級，我沒參加過雅思、托或G考試）
V: so you will go to the University of XXXXX
Me: Yes
V: why go to the University?
Me: I will visit the school of the built environment as a postdoctoral visitor. It’s well known for its research on HVAC, that is heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and renewable energy.
V: what will you do there?
Me: the main purpose is to conduct research on HVAC or renewable energy. And I will learn more advanced skills and knowledge. After that I will come back.
V: what will you do to help your living expenses there
Me: the school will make an allowance of xxxx pounds. And myself have saved xxxx yuan. That’s totally xxxx pounds.
V: how long will you be there
Me: six months
V: is there any connection between the school and your group?
Me: Myself contacted the head of the school in last November and said that I hoped to visit the school. The prof. is satisfied with my research.
V沉默一會: wait for a moment。
Me: yes
V起身，出去.
T: 請等一會。
一分鐘后，V回來.
V: you plan to arrive there on 28th AUG?
Me: yes
考試在表上寫，翻譯在一邊看，然后拿出一張A4，開始寫，簽證官簽名。
V: your visa will be valid from 28th AUG.
Me: yeah
簽證官轉(zhuǎn)身就走了，我沖著背影: thank you.
T: 你的簽證28號開始生效。
Me: 謝謝。
前后總共6、7分鐘。出來沖大廳里等候的人們做了一個勝利的手勢，祝大家都好運(yùn)，下午領(lǐng)護(hù)照時的人特多，看來形式很不錯。

本人剛剛博士畢業(yè)，未與國內(nèi)單位簽工作合同（否則無法現(xiàn)在就出去深造），表上寫父母贊助機(jī)票，但未帶戶口簿和資助信。其它準(zhǔn)備了一大堆材料，包括對方主頁、學(xué)位和學(xué)歷證書原件、成績單、獎學(xué)金證書、博士論文摘要、發(fā)表論文復(fù)印件和SCI、EI收錄頁面等，都沒派上用場。
