空中客車（Airbus）昨日選定北京附近一個地點(diǎn)，可能用于生產(chǎn)其A320系列型號的飛機(jī)。該公司將于今年晚些時候決定，是否實(shí)施首次在中國總裝飛機(jī)的計(jì)劃。
Airbus will decide later this year whether to press ahead with plans to assemble aircraft in China for the first time， after yesterday selecting a site near Beijing which could produce aircraft from its A320 family.
這家歐洲飛機(jī)制造商希望，在華進(jìn)行飛機(jī)總裝，會使其在與波音公司（Boeing）爭奪訂單的激烈競爭中處于有利位置，同時也為其下一代窄體飛機(jī)吸引中國的投資。
The European aircraft manufacturer hopes that assembling aircraft in China will give it an edge in its fierce contest for orders with Boeing， and also attract Chinese investment for its next generation of narrow-body aircraft.
空客表示，一項(xiàng)初步的可行性研究已確定，將總裝線放在中國北方的港口城市天津，專門面向中國市場。預(yù)計(jì)最終決定將于今年9月份作出，并于2008 年開始首批交貨，到2010年將產(chǎn)量擴(kuò)大至每月4架飛機(jī)。
Airbus said an initial feasibility study had identified the northern port city of Tianjin for the assembly line， which would be aimed exclusively at the Chinese market. A final decision is expected in September， and the first deliveries could start in 2008， expanding production to four aircraft a month by 2010.
