深山溝里的一個(gè)老鄉(xiāng)要到A市走親戚，從山溝里出來后就等在公路邊上，想攔個(gè)順路車搭。
第「1」串：to hitchhike 搭便車

正好一輛拉滿沙子的東風(fēng)翻斗車過來了，老鄉(xiāng)就向司機(jī)懇求把他捎到A地去，司機(jī)為難的說：“我車?yán)镆呀?jīng)坐了三個(gè)人了，你要搭便車就只能夠坐到車廂上?！?BR> 第「2」串：to give sb. a lift 讓某人搭車
The driver decided to give him a lift because the old man looked so wretched.
于是老鄉(xiāng)就爬上車廂坐在沙子上面。司機(jī)一邊開車一邊和駕駛室里的人說話聊天，等車開到了A地卸沙的工地時(shí)，就直接將翻斗給升了起來。
第「3」串：building site 工地
We should be away from the building site in case some objects fall from the sky.
這時(shí)司機(jī)猛然想起車廂上還坐著一個(gè)老鄉(xiāng)的事來，于是司機(jī)趕緊跑到車后，只見老鄉(xiāng)一邊費(fèi)勁的從沙堆里往外爬，一邊滿臉歉意的向司機(jī)賠不是：“對不起啊！師傅，我不小心把你的車給踩翻了?！?BR> 第「4」串：to express one's regret at sth. 對某事感到抱歉
