若要將簡(jiǎn)歷分門別類,簡(jiǎn)歷可以細(xì)分為許多種,比如按求職領(lǐng)域作為劃分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)等等。但大體上簡(jiǎn)歷不外乎兩種:一種是時(shí)序型,一種是功能型。另外你需要分別準(zhǔn)備好簡(jiǎn)歷的中、英文版本。而一般來(lái)說(shuō),無(wú)論何種簡(jiǎn)歷,都應(yīng)該包括了求職者最基本的信息和與該職位的申請(qǐng)有關(guān)的一切信息,即簡(jiǎn)歷都應(yīng)該包括以下幾個(gè)內(nèi)容:

Résumés
The first thing to know about résumé is that most employers give them only a 30-second glance, so to make the most of it, your résumé must be precise, clean, readable and complete. Melanie Huff is always available to critique and guide you in the résumé writing process.
There are two basic elements to consider in preparing your résumé: information and presentation.
Information
Name, address and phone number: Use the name you use for bylines. Your clips and résumé should have the same name. While in school, you should use both your current and permanent addresses and phone numbers. A résumé you sent out in December may be kept on file and looked at again for something in June and if you can't be found, you won't be considered for the job (some graduates have heard back as late as six months after sending an application).
Position Desired/Objective: You must be very careful when using an objective that you convey the message you want to understand . Too vague or too specific objectives create problematic impressions. They should be included only if you are willing to tailor your résumé for each application. Here are some possible objectives and their potential pitfalls:
"Objective: To utilize my skills as a print or broadcast journalist." This objective is both broad and vague. It gives the impression that you neither know what medium or what position you want. If you are applying for both print and broadcast positions, having résumés that are specific to each field.
"Objective: to be a feature reporter for a large metropolitan daily." Since most entry-level positions are neither in features nor at large papers, an editor at a small daily may think you have no interest in a general assignment reporting position.
Your objective should say what you want to do (report, edit, and produce) right now at the specific organization to which you are sending it. When applying to an organization that offers news in multiple media in which you are interested, demonstrate that you know what they do and what you have to offer in your cover letter.
Education: List all colleges you have attended in reverse chronological order with your major and date of graduation. Make sure the presentation for each entry matches (B.A. should line up dwith M.S., Bachelor of Arts with Master of Science, etc). Also include study abroad and workshops. "M.S. expected May 2003" is the most common way of listing Columbia prior to graduation.
Experience: List these in reverse chronological order with your dates of employment (failure to include dates doesn’t protect you from age discrimination, it makes you seem evasive). Include name, city and state of employer. If you have had some journalism jobs and some other work, you may want to split your résumé into "journalism experience" and "other experience" categories. If your journalism experience is in different types of media, you may want to break it into ‘broadcast," "print" or "new media." You must account for all of your time since graduating from college.
For each entry, you need to describe what it is you did in a manner that shows what you are capable of doing. The writing should be simple and clear. Avoid unnecessary words: not "responsible for editing," but "edited." Use active verbs, "wrote," "researched" "created." Quantify your work. What size market was your television station? What was the circulation of your paper? How many people did you supervise?
The rule for which comes first, the "education" section or the "experience" section, is to lead with your strongest journalism credential. If you have very solid experience in journalism, you lead with it; if pursuing graduate work here is the most important thing you have done in journalism, you should lead with education.
Skills: Your computer, data retrieval and editing equipment skills can make the difference between you and someone with comparable experience who is without them. Also fluency or even familiarity with other languages is important.
Professional Affiliations: Membership demonstrates a commitment to journalism (eg. Society of Professional Journalists, which you can join here at school)
Honors and Awards: List those for journalism achievement and those of interest to employers. Those from high school are no longer relevant.

作用不同:
對(duì)于國(guó)有企業(yè)或國(guó)內(nèi)的公司、事業(yè)單位等,在招聘有明確要求的情況下,英文簡(jiǎn)歷通常起到對(duì)中文簡(jiǎn)歷的補(bǔ)充作用,用來(lái)輔助說(shuō)明你的能力、尤其是英文能力的強(qiáng)弱。
而對(duì)于外資企業(yè)或外國(guó)企業(yè),英文簡(jiǎn)歷是求職必備選項(xiàng)。外企HR一般主要看Candidates的英文簡(jiǎn)歷,你的所有能力、素質(zhì)的展示可能就來(lái)自于你的英文簡(jiǎn)歷。
表達(dá)方式不同:
英文簡(jiǎn)歷應(yīng)該符合英語(yǔ)國(guó)家人的習(xí)慣,而中文簡(jiǎn)歷要符合中國(guó)人的閱讀習(xí)慣;
側(cè)重點(diǎn)不同:
英文簡(jiǎn)歷的側(cè)重點(diǎn)在于Keywords和Action Words。它們最能表現(xiàn)你的素質(zhì)。
• 時(shí)序型簡(jiǎn)歷、功能型簡(jiǎn)歷
時(shí)序型格式按照逆時(shí)序記錄你曾就職的職位,在羅列出的每一項(xiàng)職位下,你要說(shuō)明你的責(zé)任、該職位所需要的技能、以及最關(guān)鍵的一點(diǎn):突出的成就。時(shí)序型簡(jiǎn)歷能夠演示出持續(xù)和向上的職業(yè)成長(zhǎng)全過(guò)程。關(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)在于時(shí)間、工作持續(xù)期、成長(zhǎng)與進(jìn)步以及成就。時(shí)序型簡(jiǎn)歷適合于以下情況:
1)你申請(qǐng)的職位非常符合你的教育背景和工作經(jīng)歷
2)你有在公司工作的經(jīng)歷
3)你的升遷或榮譽(yù)具有連續(xù)性
功能型格式又稱技術(shù)型簡(jiǎn)歷,在簡(jiǎn)歷的一開(kāi)始就強(qiáng)調(diào)技能、能力、資信、資質(zhì)以及成就,但是并不把這些內(nèi)容與某個(gè)特定雇主聯(lián)系在一起。職務(wù)、在職時(shí)間和工作經(jīng)歷不作為重點(diǎn)以便突出強(qiáng)化你個(gè)人的資質(zhì)。這種類型的格式關(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)完全在于你所做的事情,突出你的技能而不是有關(guān)經(jīng)歷的時(shí)間。如果你符合下列某種情況,可以考慮使用技術(shù)型簡(jiǎn)歷:
1)跨專業(yè)求職,但你具有申請(qǐng)職位所需的相關(guān)技能
2)你缺乏在公司工作的經(jīng)歷,職位不高或者缺少榮譽(yù)獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)
3)你想避免給招聘者留下頻繁更換工作的印象
4)你的工作經(jīng)歷有中斷
