第二天一早,許仙買了紙馬、蠟燭、經(jīng)幡、紙錢等祭祖的物品,吃過飯,換上新鞋襪,向李將仕請(qǐng)了假,就去了保叔塔寺。在寺里祭過祖,聽了和尚念經(jīng),吃過齋飯,就告別和尚,離開寺廟,一個(gè)人在附近閑逛。不料下起了微微細(xì)雨,正值清明雨季,這雨綿綿不絕,且越下越大。許仙急忙來到渡口,看見一個(gè)老人搖著一只船過來,正是相識(shí)的張阿公,許仙暗喜,叫道:“張阿公,搭我一程到涌金門吧?!崩先艘舱J(rèn)得是許仙,便靠岸扶他上船。
In the early morning next day, Xuxian took a quick breakfast, put on a totally new dress, and went to Baoshu Tower Temple with ritual artifact such as paper horse, candles, prayer umbrella and ghost money after asking Li Jiangshi for a leave. In the temple, he made a sacrifice to his ancestors and listened to monks chanting for a while. After lunch he bided adieu to monks and left the temple. He didn’t go back, just walking around leisurely. But unfortunately, it was in period of Tomb Sweeping Day which was always rainy, drizzle came slightly and became heavier gradually. Xuxian went at once to the ferry, there was one elder rowing a boat and coming over. Xuxian relaxed a little because it was Mr.Zhang whom he had knew for long time. He waved : “Mr.Zhang, could you do me a favor, send me to Yongjin gate.” Mr.Zhang replied with a smile, rowed his boat to the ferry and helped Xuxian get on board.
執(zhí)事的長官將五十錠白銀送還給邵太尉,并將許仙發(fā)配到蘇州府管轄下的牢城營做工。姐夫給蘇州的兩位朋友范先生和王老板各寫了一封信,拜托他們照顧許仙。幸得這兩個(gè)朋友的幫助,許仙被押送到蘇州后,免于牢獄之苦,在了王老板經(jīng)營的旅店里安頓下來。
The officer who was in charge returned the fifty silver ingot to the magistrate Shao, and banished Xuxian to be a worker in the jail which was under the management of government office of Suzhou. Xuxian’s brother-in-law wrote letters to his friends Mr.Fan and Mr.Wang who were living in Suzhou, requested them to give a hand to Xuxian. With their help, Xuxian was out of torture in the jail after being sent to Suzhou, and moved to Mr.Wang's restaurant soon.
