There is only one word which can describe my childhood. The word is“carefree①”that so many today's kids② do not understand， although they have delicious food， beautiful clothes and pretty toys.
My parents never forced me to do anything. I recited a lot of poems and fine articles， but not for performing before their friends and our relatives， just because I enjoyed rhythms③ and words. So I never considered them a burden④。 Later， when I was in the primary school， the homework was very few and easy to do， and I was never asked to be the top students.
Nor did my parents stop me from doing anything. After I finished my homework， I could stay outside for a whole afternoon to do whatever I liked. I used to go swimming in the river in summer， skating on the ice in winter. Sometimes I played basketball or football with my little friends. I could read any book， and my parents never examine it before my reading.
Sometimes I think my childhood was boring⑤and not unforgettable， but I was really carefree and happy then. What is more important than to give a child a happy childhood？
