某日，一艘渡輪因暴風(fēng)雨而沉沒於大海之中，只有三個人生還。分別是一個成功的商人，一位少年，及一位流浪漢！
第「1」串：tramp 流浪漢
The tramp has no home and is wandering here and there.
一個月後，少年從海中撈起一個神燈。他擦了擦，突然有一個精靈跑出來，并且讓他們每人各許一個愿望！
第「2」串：to make a vow to God 許下心愿
He made a vow to the God, "I hope she loves me as much as I love her."
商人在乎他的事業(yè)，他說：我很缺錢，我要回我的公司賺錢！精靈點(diǎn)點(diǎn)頭，呼的一聲，商人消失了！
第「3」串：be hard pushed for money 缺錢
I am hard pushed for money now. I have to write back home to ask for some money.
少年很念他的家人，於是他說：“我要回家！”精靈又點(diǎn)點(diǎn)頭，呼的一聲，少年也不見了。精靈問流浪漢：你呢？你想許啥愿望？流浪漢想了想，說：嗯……我也不知道我要啥，不過一個人在這倒挺無聊的。
第「4」串：humdrum 無聊的
He is living a humdrum life. Nothing interests him in fact.
嗯……叫他們兩人來陪我吧！於是，又呼的一聲，商人和少年又回來了。商人和少年氣憤之極！
第「5」串：be furious at sth. 對某事大發(fā)雷霆
The boss was furious at what he had done.
