在已開發(fā)工業(yè)化國家，日常生活中“行”的方面，平常一定要自己開車，出遠(yuǎn)門在外免不了要租汽車、搭飛機(jī)。這些方面的社會(huì)習(xí)慣與規(guī)范也有必要多了解一些，例如在美國考汽車駕照不是考“駕駛技術(shù)”，而是著重在”小心謹(jǐn)慎之程度及交通法規(guī)之遵守”；既始下小雨也要開大燈；S交通號(hào)志一定要遵守；酒醉肇事，不是賠錢了事，可能毀了自己一生；租汽車時(shí)的保險(xiǎn)項(xiàng)目選擇、哩程限制；搭飛機(jī)時(shí)的權(quán)利義務(wù)條款等。
駕照路考
●License Renew(換照), License Expiration(駕照到期), License Suspended(吊銷駕照), License Revoked(取銷駕照)
●Pre-Drive Checklist (路考前考官檢查項(xiàng)目) :
(1) Drive Window(駕駛座旁窗戶), Windshield(擋風(fēng)玻璃), Rear View Mirrors(后視鏡), Turn Signals(方向燈), Brake Lights(剎車燈), Tires(輪胎), Horn(喇叭), Passenger Door(乘客座的門), Seat Belts(安全帶)，以上為一般項(xiàng)目，不合格，會(huì)扣分;
(2) Emergency Brake(剎車), Parking Brake or Foot Brake(我們所稱的手剎車), Arm Signals(會(huì)不會(huì)用手打信號(hào)), Windshield Wipers(雨刷), Defroster(除霧), Emergency Flasher(緊急燈), Headlights(大燈)，以上是重要項(xiàng)目，要都合格才上路
●Automatic Disqualification (駕駛時(shí)立刻不通過的項(xiàng)目) : Intervention by examiner(監(jiān)考人中斷), Strikes object(撞到東西), Disobeys traffic sign or signal(不遵守交通號(hào)志), Disobeys safety personnel(不聽安全人員指揮), Dangerous maneuver(危險(xiǎn)動(dòng)作), Speed(超速), Lane violation(換道違規(guī))
●路考測驗(yàn)項(xiàng)目：
- Parking Lot Driving(停車場內(nèi)之駕駛)，是否注意其它車與人)
- Curve(彎道)
- Intersection(路口)之Through(通過)、Stop(停止)、Start(激活)
- Turns(轉(zhuǎn)灣)之Approach(接近)、Stop(停止)、Turn(轉(zhuǎn)彎)
- Lane Change(換車道)
- Street Park(路邊停車)，重新進(jìn)入道路之安全注意
- Parallel Parking (路邊平行停車)
- Backing(倒車) : the position of your car before backing(倒車前先把車弄直) ; moving into space smoothly(慢慢的); see through the rear glass, never use the rearview mirror for backing(回頭往后看，不可用后視鏡看) ; whether backs in a straight line(倒的直不直) ; backing at the right speed(速度正常)。
- Park on a hill(坡道停車) : leaving your vehicle in park or the correct gear(打檔正確) ; turning the front wheels in the correct direction for parking(停車后輪胎的方向正確)。
- Freeway(高速公路駕駛)之Entering(進(jìn)入), Merge(進(jìn)入), Lane Use(車道使用), Exiting(離開)
- Business and Residential(商業(yè)及住宅區(qū)之駕駛)

Steering control (駕駛方向盤的掌握，不要一副輕松狀)
Yield the Right-Of-Way (路權(quán)的禮讓，該讓要讓，該走要走)
Full stop (遇到S sign，要完全停下來)
Unnecessary Stop (不該停的時(shí)后，不要停)
Distance (與前車保持安全距離)
Wheels Straight (直行時(shí)，車輪要直直向前)
●應(yīng)考規(guī)矩 : There will be no tricks and you will not be asked to do anything that is illegal. You will be instructed where to drive and what maneuvers to perform; if not told otherwise, drive straight ahead. You must obey all laws, rules, signs, and signals. During the test, the Licensing Service Representative will confine their remarks to directions only. The LSR will not answer any questions about the driving task and will not engage in general conversation. At the end of the test, the LSR will provide you with a copy of the score sheet and discuss the results with you. 照考官指示做，不要問任何問題
交通號(hào)志
●交通號(hào)志可分為三種：Traffic Signs(各種固定標(biāo)示牌)，Traffic Lights(交通燈號(hào))，及Road Markings(涂在路面上的標(biāo)示)。
●Traffic Signs的標(biāo)示牌形狀有四種：
(1) 八邊形表示S(祇此一種)；
(2) 倒三角形表示禮讓YIELD(祇此一種)；
(3) 菱形表示警告Warning，通常是黃色，警告駕駛?cè)饲胺娇赡軤顩r，提醒注意，例如前方道路分叉，前方道路合并，前方有行人通過，前方可能路滑，前方可能有落石，前方有彎路，前方是陡坡等。
(4) 四方形表示規(guī)定Regulatory，例如NO LEFT TURN，NO FIGHT TURN，NO TRUCKS，NO U TURN，DO NOT ENTER，ONE WAY，SPEED LIMIT等。
●Traffic Signs顏色有六種：紅色表示S，黃色表示警告，白色表示規(guī)定，橘色表示施工，藍(lán)色表示服務(wù)，休息區(qū)，醫(yī)院，露營等，綠色表示路標(biāo)。
●Traffic Lights(交通燈號(hào)) :
(1) Red means S , Yellow means the red signal is about to appear(黃燈表示紅燈馬上就要亮了), Green means GO
(2) Flashing Red means same as S Sign , but after stopping, proceed when safe, observing the Right-Of-Way rules(閃動(dòng)的紅燈等于是S sign，車輛行進(jìn)依照ROW的規(guī)矩)
(3) Flashing Yellow means becareful, slow down(閃動(dòng)的黃燈表示小心慢行) ;
(4) Red Arrow(紅色箭頭) means S until green appears ;
(5) Yellow Arrow means(黃色箭頭)注意下一個(gè)燈號(hào) ;
(6) Green Arrow means(綠色箭頭) GO but yield to any vehicle, bicycle, or pedestrian still in the intersection(但要讓別的任何方向的車或行人)
●Road Markings(涂在路面上的標(biāo)示) :
(1) Solid Yellow Line(實(shí)黃線)，BrokenYellow Line(虛黃線)，Double Solid Yellow Line(雙實(shí)黃線)，Broken White Line(虛白線)，Solid Yellow Line with Broken Yellow Line(一實(shí)一虛黃線)，Solid White Line(實(shí)白線)
(2) 白線是區(qū)隔車道(Lane)之標(biāo)示，雙黃線是嚴(yán)禁跨越(可當(dāng)作是一道水泥墻)，Signal Ahead(前方有號(hào)志)。
