17、A man without distant care must have near sorrow. 人無(wú)遠(yuǎn)慮必有近憂。
Distant-the amount of space between two places or things，遠(yuǎn)的，悠遠(yuǎn)的。舉例：A distant relative遠(yuǎn)房親戚；distant control遙控；long distance長(zhǎng)途電話。
Care，通常是照顧；管理；或是小心的意思。比如：Give more care to your spelling.多注意你的拼寫。在這里care是指憂慮；煩惱；掛念。我們來(lái)看一些例子：be free from all care無(wú)憂無(wú)慮/Care had aged him.憂慮使他顯得蒼老了。

Failure，是動(dòng)詞fail的名詞形式，解釋為失敗。Failure is the mother of success.失敗是成功之母。也可以解釋為失敗的人；失敗的嘗試：He is a failure as an artist.他是個(gè)失敗的藝術(shù)家。Fail表示失敗或不能；忘記。Don't fail to ring me up.不要忘記給我打電話。
