348. 正在做壞事時(shí)卻被父親逮到了，他嚇得面如土色。
    [誤] He was caught by his father while doing something bad, and his face turned to the color of earth.
    [正] Caught red-handed by his father, he was as white as a sheet.
    注：西方人以白種人居多，他們無(wú)論受到怎樣的驚嚇都不會(huì)面如土色的，除非生了什么病。所以直譯會(huì)令他們費(fèi)解，不如按他們的習(xí)慣來(lái)說(shuō)。
