讀者 LC Man 寄電郵問(wèn)：平常我們說(shuō) Chinese people，如 This is made for the Chinese people。為什么談到中國(guó)市場(chǎng)時(shí)，有人會(huì)說(shuō) the China market 呢？The Chinese market和 the China market哪一個(gè)正確？
我詢問(wèn)過(guò)一些從事中國(guó)貿(mào)易的人以及在學(xué)院里研讀商業(yè)管理的同事，一致認(rèn)為the China market 和 the Chinese market都對(duì)，但因?yàn)橹埸c(diǎn)通常是在中國(guó)這個(gè)地區(qū)而不是數(shù)目龐大的中國(guó)消費(fèi)者，所以一般說(shuō)法是 the China market。
應(yīng)用到其他的國(guó)家，我們同樣可以說(shuō) the Japan market 或 the Japanese market， the US market 或 the American market。
至于 "This is made for the Chinese people" 一句，一提到人，就自然是 Chinese 而不是 China。Chinese 既是名詞，又是形容詞。
