    解詞釋義:這是一條形容詞性的習(xí)語。關(guān)于習(xí)語的出處有兩種解釋。一種是認(rèn)為此語用來指17世紀(jì)英國草藥店里出售的成藥,這是藥是割下后曬干的,因為遠(yuǎn)不如剛采摘的或地里長著的那些草藥那么新鮮;另一種解釋為,此語鋸好晾干且已經(jīng)刨好成型的備用木材。現(xiàn)在該習(xí)語被沿用下來,引申為“枯燥乏味的,刻板迂腐的”。也是我中文中說的“老生常談的”“陳詞濫調(diào)的”。
