(1)—Howaboutcomingtomyhouse?
—I’dlovetoifitdoesn’tgiveyousomuchtrouble.
在hope,like,love,promise,want,wish等詞后作賓語的不定式常省略。再如:
Youmaygoifyouwantto.
Shecangetajobifshehopesto.
—Howaboutgoinghuntingwithmetomorrow?
—I’dliketo,butIhavenotime.
(2)Don’tclosethewindowuntilIaskyouto.
在allow,ask,tell等詞后作賓語補(bǔ)足語的不定式常省略。再如:
Don’ttouchthelightunlessyourmotherallowsyouto.
Don’tplantpotatoesuntilthepeasanttellsyouto.
(3)Hedidn’twanttohandinhiscomposition,buthehadto.
在beableto,begoingto,haveto,needto,enoughto,usedto等后的不定式需省略。再如:
Idon’tsingmuch,now,butIusedtoalot.
Ifyoudon’twanttosayanythingatthemeeting,youdon’tneedto.
Shedidn’tgooutlastnight,becauseshewasafraidto.
在afraid,glad,happy,pleased,sorry等詞后作狀語的不定式常省略。再如:—Willyougowithmetoseethefilmtonight?
