《新五代史》是紀(jì)傳體斷代史書名，“二十四史”之一，有北宋歐陽(yáng)等人修撰，共七十四卷，記載了五代時(shí)期從后梁開平元年(907年)至后周顯德七年(960年)54年的歷史?！缎挛宕贰敷w例嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，但對(duì)史實(shí)多有忽略?！缎挛宕贰酚歇?dú)特的編排方法，它打破了朝代的界限，把五朝的本紀(jì)、前傳綜合在一起，依時(shí)間的先后順序進(jìn)行編排。

Later History of the Five Dynasties (between Tang and Song Dynasties)
Later History of the Five Dynasties (between Tang and Song Dynasties) is the name of biographic history of dynasties and one of the 24 histories authored by Ouyang Xiu, et. al. in the Northern Song Dynasty . With a total of 74 volumes, it recorded a history of 54 years from the first year of the Later Liang Dynasty (907) to the 7th year of Xiande of the Later Zhou Dynasty (960) in the period of Five Dynasties. Despite the strict style, it largely omits historical facts. Featured by the unique method of arrangement, Later History of the Five Dynasties (between Tang and Song Dynasties) transcends the limit of the dynasties, combines the biographic sketches of emperors and former biographies of the five dynasties and makes arrangements in sequence.
